Our design for this light and airy scarf was brought to life by the hand block print artisans at Dhonk, a social enterprise that employs members of the local Ranthambore region, including the wives of ex-poachers.
This style is inspired by the Indian Roller Bird that lives in Ranthambore National Park in India.
The males perform dizzying aerial acrobatics during courtship or fights over territory, hence the name. When the Indian Roller is perched the predominant colors one sees are its brownish-beige and peach colored breast.
Regular Size: 38 in x 66 in
Oversized: 44 in x 80 in
100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton - Hand Block Printed in India by DHONK, a Craftmark certified community enterprise that employs members of the local Ranthambore region. Dyes are low impact, fiber reactive, and AZO free.
Block prints are made by hand and each piece is one-of-a-kind. Slight color variation within a print run and across multiple print runs is a natural part of the process, and appreciated by those who value the unique quality of artisan textiles.
Gently Hand Wash and Hang to Dry. Steam press is recommended.
A portion of proceeds will be donated to Tiger Watch, an organization that works to protect and conserve the wildlife of Ranthambore.
